House habits

Welcome to our place to slow down, share space thoughtfully, and enjoy the small details.

These guidelines are habits that help us keep the atmosphere we value:

Bathroom:
towels in your bathroom are for indoor use; you’ll find separate towels for the beach or sauna in your wardrobe. Only toilet paper should be flushed. We appreciate a mindful approach to water and electricity—small choices make a difference: #skruvaner

Beverages: in line with our alcohol permit (Swedish law), guests are not allowed to consume their own alcohol on the premises. Rest assured, we have an extensive wine list for you. We offer a selection of complimentary hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages—just let us know anytime.

Bikes/ kayaks: 4 bikes and kayaks are available, free of charge but subject to prior arrangement.

Building: Lådfabriken is largely made of wood, which carries sound. We appreciate your consideration when walking, talking, and closing doors, for the comfort of all guests.

Damage: should anything be accidentally damaged during your stay, by you, your kids, or dogs, please let us know. We trust our guests to treat the space with care. We will hold you responsible though.

EV-charging: try charging during the day when the solar panels provide energy. Inform us before using the charging station, a fee applies for charging.

Dog: dogs are welcome companions here. To keep things comfortable for everyone, we ask that they stay quiet, off the beds, and away from the table during meals. The dog can be with you during meals if the other guests are comfortable with its presence.

Dress code: we expect our guests to wear a shirt or top garment when being in the dining room and living room area.

Food: we offer excellent food, if you choose to bring your own food, we can provide you with tableware and cutlery. If possible, you are welcome to eat in the dining room; otherwise, you can pick nick on the cliffs or use the tables in the garden. Do not eat in our beds, sofas and chairs.

Garbage: we carefully separate waste, so we kindly ask you to follow our sorting system when using the bins. If unsure, feel free to hand it to us—we’re happy to help.

Kids: our accommodation is designed with guests aged 12 and above in mind. If younger children are visiting, we rely on parents to ensure a calm and respectful environment for all—during meals and throughout the house. Diapers are to be disposed of in the green waste bin near the road.

Kitchen: the kitchen is part of our private working space. If you need refrigerator access, just ask—we’re happy to help. And yes, we might share some recipes verbally.

Liability: while we do our best to ensure a safe and comfortable stay, we cannot accept responsibility for accidents, injuries, or loss/damage of personal belongings, they remain the responsibility of each guest.

Motto: we value kindness, respect, and inclusivity. We aim to create a welcoming space for everyone and ask our guests to do the same.

Smoking: Lådfabriken is a non-smoking boutique hotel. Smoking is only permitted in outdoor areas.

Something missing or not working: please let us know as soon as possible, so we can try to correct it.

Sustainability: we actively work with sustainability, social inclusion and engaging the local community. We help nature through cleaning initiatives, eco-friendly routines, collaborating with local producers and offering seasonal experiences. We use geothermal energy, solar panels, waste sorting and our last addition to Lådfabriken (‘Lådan’) was built ecologically. Support us by monitoring your water and electricity consumption.
